C. Noel Carlson

C. Noel Carlson is a queer author of speculative poetry and fiction with themes of fractured identity, dysphoria, and the hellscape of end-stage capitalism. Their nonfiction explores the challenges of writing with late-diagnosed AuDHD.

A lifelong writer and perpetual nomad, their career has encompassed everything from news reporting and copyediting to corporate office gigs, small business administration, and hospitality. Their short stories and poetry have been published in The Rain, Party, & Disaster Society and The Swan Children as well as magazines and newspapers. They hold a B.A. in creative writing from Western Michigan University.

When Noel is not writing, they can generally be found devouring stories of all kinds, prowling for excellent cocktails, and haunting local historical sites and museums. They currently live in Virginia with their family.
